Antique Hartford Mill VT Wood Thread Spool Industrial Textile Candle Holder Bobbin 9"
Industrial thread bobbin from the former wool mill Hartford Woolen Company in Hartford Vermont. Brass plate secures the bottom end.
Piece measures 9" H x 4.5" diameter on the ends. The spindle circumference measures 5.5".
Marked on one end: BS Bobbin & Shuttle Co., 4 9 -24. It's been painted a dark forest green on both ends.
Piece was used in its later years to make candles (see paper insert).
Can also be used a candlestick holder (opening measures approximately 3/4" diameter)
